Importance of Understanding the Quran
As the Sacred Scripture of Quran is full of information that transforms the lives of millions of people around the world, therefore, it is imperative to recite and understand it in the local language for better absorbing its wisdom. The Almighty Lord says:
“[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.” [Quran, 38: 29]
The above-mentioned Ayah clearly signifies that it is the spiritual duty of a Muslim to reflect upon the holy verses which are only possible when they are read in understandable language.
Narrated `Uthman:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
Muslim in Islam
“Muslims must learn Arabic language and then recite the Holy Qur’an with understanding. When Muslim Ummah is able to understand what is written in the Holy Qur’an then it would be simple for them to know what Allah’s Commandments are about. Thereafter, it would be very easy for Muslims to practice Almighty Allah’s message in their daily lives”.
In this regard, the Hafiz Academy embarked on offering an online course entitled “recite a verse a day with Understanding”. The videos are designed to teach you the meaning of each word, followed by a self-test, translating the verse, and finally reciting the verse with tajweed.
